Just completed basic tutorial in Python at Codecademy. You can proove that in my profile there.

It was fun. Nice online interpreter and editor. Tasks are simple and clear. One can quickly get the idea. The most interesting part was about lists, lambdas and comprehensions:

1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
squares = [x**2 for x in range(1, 13) if x % 2 == 0]
# gives [4, 16, 36, 64, 100, 144]

filtered = filter(lambda x: x < 100, squares)
# gives [4, 16, 36, 64]

reversed_filtered = filtered[::-2]
# gives [64, 16]

At this point I find language syntax expressive.
